Vocational teachers ineligible for promotion to principal’s post: HC

The Bombay High Court's special three-judge bench ruled that vocational stream teachers are ineligible for promotion to head/principal positions in schools, as they do not share comparable qualifications and career progression with regular stream teachers. Amendments to existing laws would be necessary for such eligibility.
