UP CM Yogi Adityanath orders ban on meat sales near religious sites during Navratri; orders shutdown of illegal slaughterhouses

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by CM Yogi Adityanath, has issued strict directives to shut down illegal slaughterhouses and ban meat sales within a 500-meter radius of religious sites. A state-wide ban on animal slaughter and meat sales will also be enforced on April 6, 2025, during Ram Navami.
