Delhi faces first heatwave of 2025: Temperatures soar above 40° C
Monday, 7 April 2025 Delhi experienced its first heatwave this season, with temperatures soaring to 40.2 degrees Celsius, prompting an IMD yellow alert for the next two days. Safdarjung, Ridge, and Ayanagar stations recorded heatwave conditions. A temperature drop is expected after April 10 due to a western disturbance. The city's Air Quality Index remained in the 'poor' category.
The BSF Bharat Darshan Tour 2025 concluded with a vibrant ceremony at the BSF Nizamuddin facility in Delhi, where 100 students and teachers from Mizoram celebrated their enriching journey across India. Organised by the Border Security Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the tour aimed to promote national integration, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of India’s heritage. The concluding session was graced by Hon’ble MoS Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, who interacted with the students and praised BSF’s efforts in connecting border-state youth with the nation's historical and cultural legacy.
