Punjab Police arrest 2 operatives linked with Goldy Dhillon terror module with 1.6kg of IED
Sunday, 13 April 2025 In a significant breakthrough, the Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence unit has arrested two key operatives of a terror module linked to Germany-based Gurpreet Singh, alias Goldy Dhillon, from Ferozepur. The apprehended accused have been identified as Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh.

Public outrage has forced the Delhi government to pause its controversial plan to deny fuel to over 62 lakh "End of Life" vehicles — including cars, bikes, trucks, and even vintage automobiles. The now-on-hold EOL policy targeted petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel ones older than 10, with fuel stations set to use number plate recognition to block refueling.
But after massive backlash from citizens — especially those with well-maintained older vehicles and valid pollution certificates — the government is rethinking its move. Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa cited “technological challenges” and announced a shift in focus: targeting poorly-maintained vehicles instead of penalizing all old ones.
