Karnataka class 1 admissions: ICSE schools to abide by age norm, CBSE institutions say they won’t

Karnataka's government has reduced the minimum age for Class 1 admission to 5 years and 5 months, creating a divide among schools. ICSE schools will follow the state's rules, as directed by the CISCE board. However, CBSE schools, aligned with the NEP, will maintain the 6-year minimum age.
