‘His family is anxiously awaiting answers’: Congress targets Centre on BSF jawan’s return from Pakistan
Tuesday, 29 April 2025 The Congress party has urged the Centre to expedite the safe return of BSF constable Purnam Sahu, who was detained by Pakistan Rangers after inadvertently crossing the border in Punjab. The incident occurred amidst heightened tensions following a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Sahu's family awaits his return as discussions between border forces are underway.
The BSF Bharat Darshan Tour 2025 concluded with a vibrant ceremony at the BSF Nizamuddin facility in Delhi, where 100 students and teachers from Mizoram celebrated their enriching journey across India. Organised by the Border Security Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the tour aimed to promote national integration, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of India’s heritage. The concluding session was graced by Hon’ble MoS Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, who interacted with the students and praised BSF’s efforts in connecting border-state youth with the nation's historical and cultural legacy.
