5th patient with Covid dies in Mumbai Metropolitan Region in 8 days

A 47-year-old Kalyan resident died from Covid-19, marking the fifth such death in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region within eight days. The woman, initially treated for typhoid, passed away before her Covid test results were available. As Covid cases rise across Maharashtra, with Mumbai and Thane reporting the highest numbers, authorities are establishing isolation wards and RTPCR labs.
