‘Thug Life has become Thuggy’: Karnataka HC questions Kamal Haasan over ‘Kannada born from Tamil’ remark, asks ‘why can’t you apologise?’

The Karnataka High Court questioned Kamal Haasan regarding his remarks about the Kannada language's origin, during a hearing about his film 'Thug Life' ban. Justice Nagaprasanna drew parallels to a past apology from C Rajagopalachari for similar comments. The court emphasized that freedom of expression doesn't justify hurting sentiments related to language and land.
