Crackdown intensifies: Top Maoist leader with Rs 40 lakh bounty killed in Chhattisgarh encounter; operation under way

Following the recent death of CPI (Maoist) leader Nambala Keshav Rao, sources report another senior Maoist, Gautam alias Sudhakar, has been killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Sudhakar, a central committee member with a Rs 40 lakh bounty, was reportedly gunned down during an anti-Naxalite operation in the Indravati National Park area.
