'He was living illegally for the past 12 years': Man from Gujarat gets 12 years in US jail for scamming elderly citizens

A 44-year-old Gujarati man, residing illegally in the US for 12 years, received a 12-year federal prison sentence for his involvement in an imposter scam targeting elderly individuals across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He was convicted on multiple counts, including conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, after posing as a courier to collect money from victims.
