Government to roll out 20-year cooperative policy; aims 2 lakh PACS by February 2026: Amit Shah

Amit Shah announced the National Cooperative Policy 2025-2045. The goal is to establish cooperatives in every Indian village in five years. The policy aims to transform the cooperative sector. A key focus is creating two lakh new Primary Agricultural Credit Societies by 2026. States must align their cooperative policies by January 31, 2026. Tribhuvan Sahkari University will build skilled manpower. The policy promotes natural farming and inter-cooperative models.
