One-day jail & Rs 30,000 fine: Farmer pays price for giving sports bike to minor in Bengaluru; teen’s Yamaha R15 crashes, suffers injuries
Thursday, 3 July 2025 () In a rare verdict, a Gubbi court sentenced farmer Narasimha Raju to a day's imprisonment and a Rs 30,000 fine for allowing a minor to ride his sports motorbike. The minor suffered severe injuries in an accident on October 31, 2024. Raju's son, Ravi Kumar, who initially gave the bike to the 17-year-old, was also fined Rs 5,000.
