‘I’m a chemistry professor’: Madhya Pradesh HC upholds conviction of woman who drugged, electrocuted husband amid marital dispute; orders surrender

The Madhya Pradesh High Court upheld the life sentence of Mamta Pathak, a former chemistry professor, for electrocuting her husband, a government doctor, in 2021. Pathak, 60, argued her own appeal, challenging the postmortem report and asserting that thermal and electrical burn marks are indistinguishable without chemical analysis.
