Short Sleeper Syndrome is a rare sleep disorder. People with this condition need less sleep. They can function well on just 4-6 hours of sleep. This is not due to poor habits. It is linked to genetic factors. Research shows a gene called DEC2 may be involved. While seemingly beneficial, it can have health implications.
