Common painkillers can increase the risk of repeated heart attacks: Study

A 2012 study in Circulation reveals that heart attack survivors face increased risks of repeated heart attacks and death with NSAID use. Diclofenac and ibuprofen pose higher risks, while naproxen is relatively safer. Experts advise acetaminophen (Tylenol) as a safer alternative and suggest non-drug pain management strategies to minimize cardiovascular risks.
