The A1 Collaboration at the Institute of Nuclear Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), alongside researchers from China and Japan, has successfully produced the rare hydrogen-6 isotope using an electron scattering technique for the first time. Conducted at the Mainz Microtron (MAMI) accelerator, the experiment opens a new path for probing extremely neutron-rich light nuclei
