For at least a day, all the world is 'Margaritaville' in homage to Jimmy Buffett
Saturday, 2 September 2023 Fans around the world, including Key West and New York City, mourned the passing of singer Jimmy Buffett at 76. Buffett's hit song "Margaritaville" has become synonymous with Key West. Tributes poured in from President Joe Biden, former President Bill Clinton, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and Paul McCartney. Fans gathered in New York City to reminisce and visited the Margaritaville restaurant in Times Square to celebrate Buffett's life.
Jimmy Buffett, "Margaritaville" singer, has died, according to his official website. "Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs," the statement said. He was 76. #CNN #News
