Eighty years on, Italian victims of Nazi crimes finally to get compensation

IndiaTimes Sunday, 3 September 2023
The descendants of six Italian civilians who were hanged by German troops in 1943 are set to receive 12 million euros ($13 million) in compensation. The Italian court ruling awards the money to the families as compensation for their trauma. The funds will be paid by Italy rather than Germany, after Italy lost a legal battle over whether Germany should be liable for World War Two crimes.
