Justice Qazi Faez Isa to take oath as 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan today

Justice Qazi Faez Isa is set to become the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan. There have been concerns that senior judges in Pakistan were being excluded from the formation of benches for desired outcomes. Justice Isa will face the challenge of the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Act 2023, which requires the formation of benches on constitutional matters by a committee of three senior judges.
