UN-mandated investigation into Ethiopia atrocities lapses

The United Nations-mandated inquiry into ongoing atrocities in Ethiopia is at risk of closure as no motion has been received to renew it. he International Commission of Human Rights Experts on Ethiopia stated that war crimes and crimes against humanity are still being committed in the country. However, strong African opposition has deterred proponents from seeking another mandate.
