Airlines halt flights in and out of Israel after a massive attack by Hamas ignites heavy fighting

Major airlines have suspended flights to and from Israel after the country declared war following an attack by Hamas. Israel launched airstrikes on Gaza and Palestinian militants responded with rocket attacks on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Airlines such as American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air France, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Wizz Air, easyJet, British Airways, and KLM have all suspended or cancelled flights to Tel Aviv.
