Gaza carnage anger may fuel wider conflict

IndiaTimes Thursday, 19 October 2023
Protests have erupted across the Middle East, with demonstrators expressing anger towards leaders for failing to stop the violence in Gaza. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, Jordan's King Abdullah II, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas canceled a planned summit with Joe Biden. Many Arabs view the US as complicit in the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Israeli forces shot dead two Palestinian teenagers in the West Bank, and protests turned violent in Lebanon, Iraq, and Tunisia.
