Cyclone Hamoon makes landfall in coastal Bangladesh

Cyclonic Storm 'Hamoon' has made landfall in coastal Bangladesh and is expected to weaken into a deep depression in the next six hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The storm has wind speeds of 80 to 90 kmph, gusting up to 100 kmph. Meanwhile, the Severe Cyclonic Storm 'TEJ' over coastal Yemen has weakened into a cyclonic storm and is moving west-northwestwards. Heavy rainfall is predicted in Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, and east Arunachal Pradesh. Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into certain areas until October 25.
