Israel strikes Syria in reply to rockets: Aleppo airport hit & 8 soldiers killed

Israeli strikes in southern Syria killed eight soldiers and later targeted Aleppo airport for the fourth time in two weeks. Israel claimed the first strike was in response to rocket fire, while the second strike was in the north. The tensions between Israel and Hamas in Gaza have caused concerns of a new front in the war, with rocket fire and artillery exchanges occurring near Israel's northern border with Lebanon. The strikes destroyed arms depots and radar and targeted an infantry unit.
