IndiaTimes Saturday, 28 October 2023
US and Chinese officials have reached an agreement in principle for a meeting between Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping next month. The details and arrangements for the meeting are still being worked out, but it is likely to take place during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco. The breakthrough follows Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Washington, where he met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. US officials have been eager to announce a meeting between Biden and Xi, who have not spoken since last year.
