Montenegro gets new government, promises to unblock EU integration as EU Commissioner visits

Montenegro's new government, led by Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, has been confirmed by parliament. Spajic promised to prioritize Montenegro's stalled EU integration process, despite concerns over the involvement of pro-Serb parties in the coalition. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen visited Montenegro as part of a tour of Western Balkan nations aspiring to join the EU. The EU has recently sought to accelerate the integration process and encourage reforms in the region.
