Saturday, 4 November 2023 US State Secretary Antony Blinken said that the country believed that a ceasefire in Gaza would allow Hamas to regroup and carry out the attack. Till now the war has killed over 1400 people in Israel, this is the worst assault in the country's history. Blinken made his comments at a news conference in Amman, alongside his Jordanian and Egyptian counterparts who have repeatedly urged for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
