Bodies litter streets as fighting intensifies in Sudan

Violence and fighting have escalated in Sudan, particularly in the capital and in the western region of Darfur. Witnesses report seeing corpses in the streets, and there are concerns about ethnically motivated mass killings. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese army are battling for control, with the RSF claiming control of all but one major city in Darfur. There have been reports of serious human rights abuses by the RSF and affiliated militias, and the US embassy in Khartoum has expressed deep concern.
