Judge declines for now to push back Trump's classified documents trial but postpones other deadlines

IndiaTimes Friday, 10 November 2023
A federal judge in Florida has refused to delay Donald Trump's classified documents trial, stating that the defence's request was premature. The trial is currently scheduled to begin on May 20, 2024. Trump's lawyers argued that they needed more time to review the extensive evidence and cited scheduling challenges due to other legal cases against Trump. The judge pushed back some deadlines but maintained the trial date. Trump is also facing federal charges in Washington, state charges in New York, and a business fraud case in New York.
