Iran confirms death sentence over officer's killing in 2022 protests

The Supreme Court of Iran announced a death sentence against a man who was convicted of killing a revolutionary guards officer during the last year's protest which was sparked after the death of Mahsa Amini. A Tehran court handed down the death sentence in June, saying it was "in accordance with the retribution law" in force in Iran.
