Daisaku Ikeda, the former head of Soka Gakkai, a Japanese Buddhist organization, has died at the age of 95. He is credited with reviving Nichiren Buddhism and making it more accessible to modern practitioners. Soka Gakkai has millions of members worldwide, including famous musicians and celebrities. Ikeda emphasized the importance of happiness and spreading goodness in his teachings. He played a key role in spreading the teachings abroad and founded Soka Gakkai International. Ikeda's private funeral has already been held, and a public commemorative service will be announced later.
