Gaza cease-fire enters second day with more hostages to be exchanged and critical supplies delivered
Saturday, 25 November 2023 Hamas swaps more hostages for prisoners as part of the cease-fire, allowing critical humanitarian aid into Gaza. The first day saw the release of 24 hostages by Hamas and the freedom of 39 Palestinians by Israel. During the four-day cease-fire, at least 50 Israeli hostages will be released by Hamas and 150 Palestinian prisoners by Israel. The truce can be extended if additional hostages are freed. The pause in fighting has allowed the delivery of food, water, medicine, and fuel to Gaza.
