Aide to Argentina's Javier Milei meets Brazil minister, softening tone
Monday, 27 November 2023 Argentine President-elect Javier Milei's top adviser, Diana Mondino, met Brazil's foreign minister to invite President Lula da Silva to Milei's inauguration. Mondino emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two countries despite Milei's previous criticism of Lula. Milei is also close to former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and has invited him to the inauguration. Mondino discussed the bilateral relationship and Mercosur-EU negotiations with Brazil's foreign minister.
