Former UK prime minister Boris Johnson arrived at a public inquiry to be grilled over his government's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. Johnson is expected to admit to making mistakes during the pandemic and facing criticism from his former aides. Nearly 130,000 people died with Covid in the UK by mid-July 2021. Johnson is expected to defend his decisions, insisting that they saved hundreds of thousands of lives. He will also address concerns about his hesitations and indecisiveness during the crisis.
