US, Israel differ on timetable for scaling down of Gaza war

The US and Israel are in disagreement over the timing of scaling down the war in Gaza. President Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, visited Israel and carried a message to transition to more targeted operations against Hamas leaders. The US officials want this transition to happen in around three weeks, but the timing is the subject of intensive discussion. Israeli officials have stated that they will continue the war until they achieve their goal of eradicating Hamas.
