The aftermath of the October 7 attacks by Hamas in southern Israel has revealed a pattern of sexual violence against Israeli women. The New York Times conducted a two-month investigation, uncovering distressing details of sexual assault and mutilation at multiple attack locations. Gal Abdush, a mother of two, who disappeared from a rave that turned into a massacre site, became a symbol of the horrors inflicted upon Israeli women. At least seven locations were identified where women and girls were sexually assaulted or mutilated.
