Two kung fu coaches were sentenced to death in China for poisoning seven children in 1997 due to a business conflict with the school's boss. The defendants, Fu Zejie and Zhu Zulin, planted rat poison in the food at a martial arts school in Anhui Province. They conspired to retaliate against Peng, who ran a competing martial arts school. After evading arrest for nearly 26 years, Fu was apprehended in Fujian Province and Zhu in Guizhou Province in May 2023.
