'Unity government not saving Israel, but only Netanyahu': Opposition leader Yair Lapid
Monday, 8 January 2024 Yair Lapid, the Israel Opposition leader, criticized National Unity ministers Gadi Eisenkot, Benny Gantz, and Gideon Sa'ar for leaving the coalition, accusing them of protecting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instead of saving Israel. Lapid also questioned the government's ability to lead the war and Netanyahu's capability to lead the country. He stated that the current government is neither an emergency nor a unity government. Lapid emphasized that as long as they remain in the government, they would be legitimizing Netanyahu's actions.
