Former Maldivian minister Abdulla Shahid called out President Muizzu's lies about Indian military presence. Shahid emphasized the lack of armed foreign soldiers in the Maldives. President Muizzu requested the withdrawal of Indian troops and diplomatic negotiations are underway with specific withdrawal dates. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that competent Indian technical personnel will replace military personnel at aviation platforms.
