Shahid took to social media to express his scepticism about the presence of armed Indian soldiers in the island nation.
Maldives Environment Minister Fathima Shamnaz Ali Saleem has been arrested under allegations of practicing 'black magic' on President Mohamed Muizzu, as reported by local media. Alongside Shamnaz, her ex-husband Adam Rameez, who served in the President’s Office, and two others have also been detained on charges related to witchcraft, purportedly aimed at gaining influence over Muizzu.
The controversy emerged on June 23, leading to the remand of the four accused for seven days. Shamnaz was subsequently suspended from her position as state minister at the Ministry of Environment on Wednesday, according to local media outlet Sun.
