More than 200 Nigerian students released after abduction in northern Kaduna

More than 200 students and staff who were abducted in northern Nigeria have been released unharmed just days before a ransom deadline of $690,000, as confirmed by the Kaduna governor's office on Sunday. The incident took place in Kaduna's Kuriga on March 7, marking the first mass abduction in the country since 2021 when over 150 students were kidnapped from a high school.
