Pakistan to construct 'largest' nuclear plant with Chinese design

Pakistan is set to build its largest nuclear power plant, the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit 5 (C-5), with a capacity of 1,200 MWe after obtaining a licence from the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority. The plant, designed by the Chinese firm Hualong, features advanced safety mechanisms and is projected to cost $3.7 billion.
