Secret Service shoots armed ‘suicidal’ man near White House

The Secret Service reports it shot a man near the White House after agents were alerted to a “suicidal individual” in the area. They say the shooting happened “following an armed confrontation with law enforcement.” No officers were injured and there is no word yet on the man’s condition.
