Are feeling the affect of the coronavirus.

What you're seeing behind me is of downtown baldwyn.

As you can see, there's not a lot of vehicles traveling, and the streets and businesses look pretty empty.

Right now, they're taking advantage and applying for the small business loan to help with needed expenses as profit is low right now.

Wtva's chelsea brown caught up with one business owner who explains what theapplication process was like.

You can see the sign on the door telling customers tazikis mediterranean cafe is closed until further notice.

I spoke with one of the owners today to see what she is doing while her business is closed ."

"it's been heart breaking for us..

We have had to lay off all of the employees that we've had.

Zell long owns the cafe with her son jason.

They both hope to hire their employees back once the restaurant opens back up.

The community development foundation posted a "how to" video on their facebook discussing the small business loan application process.

"it's a very complicated process" i asked long how long it took for her son jason to complete the application.

"he said it took him about 3 hours."

The application is multiple pages "so on page 4..

This is filing requirements and this is a lot of information" zell long is optimistic and is leaning on other small businesses during this time "that's the thing we know we are not in this buy ourselves.

We can see other businesses here and it is just breaking out hearts."

The longs completed the application and are now waiting.

While they wait, they are having to take money from their own pocket to pay invoices and other bills.

"how much more can we put into it from a business perspective.".
