The cancellation of youth games is putting a chill on more than just the sports world.

But my childhood was filled with sports from basketball to ?ball.

Unfortunately?

Social distancing is too hard to swing with all those players?

So at least for now?

Youth sports are on hold.

Xxx "from mid march through may, we've had to cancel or postpone at least 27 sports events that would have been held in rochester."

As the fears over covi?19 loom, so do the fears of a canceled youth sports season.

Rochester sports executive director matt esau talks about what that means for the young athletes.

"they lose that tight nit group with teamwork you now, the wonderful things that brings.

Advantages they gain for life by being a part of a team."

Eseau also says canceled tournaments hurt the local economy.

The organization estimates rochester will lose out on 33 thousand visitors and nine million dollars in economic impact.

While games are canceled right now?
