‘They’re not heroes…’: General Bipin Rawat on killing of Hizbul commander Riyaz Naikoo
Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat spoke on the killing of top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo.
Rawat said the killing of Naikoo will lead to a reduction in recruitment levels.
Rawat also added that terrorists like Riyaz should not be portrayed as ‘heroes’.
“They are not heroes in any way..they are just people spreading mayhem,” Rawat added.
Naikoo was killed in a joint operation by security forces in Kashmir along with three other militants.
