Franchisees Of Iconic American Fast Food Restaurants Are 'Sucking Wind'

Just because a business owner runs a chain restaurant with a household name, it doesn't mean they're immune to the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Business Insider, franchisees running locations of some of America's most iconic chains are struggling financially, too.

Franchisees for Pizza Hut, IHOP, and Subway have already filed for bankruptcy, and experts say not every franchisee is going to be able to stay in business.

Troubled owner-operators will be forced to either sell their restaurants back to the corporate office or other franchisees, or file for bankruptcy.

Every franchisee is a small business, and they had to close up, and they're sucking wind.

They're hemorrhaging.
