Los Angeles Pride Reimagined As A Solidarity March

As COVID-19 has forced many Pride celebrations across the country to cancel, LA is reimagining the event.

Organizers of Los Angeles’ LGBTQ Pride festival are planning a solidarity protest march.

Organizers announced that the group would host a demonstration against racial inequality and police brutality.

The march is intended as a “response to racial injustice, systemic racism and all forms of oppression".

The event will be held June 14, the date previously reserved for the Pride parade.

According to HuffPost, participants will wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
