In a horrific incident, A leopard that entered a residential colony of Assam's Guwahati was beaten to death before the forest department could rescue the animal.

The locals also broke its teeth off.

Recently, a pregnant elephant was killed after some people fed her a pineapple stuffed with crackers, in Kerala's Malappuram.
