Mother dog leads human friend to her six newborn puppies

This is a heartwarming moment a stray mother dog lead a woman to her six puppies sheltering in the woods after heavy rain.

The pooch is believed to have been abandoned several weeks ago while she was pregnant because the owner did not want to take care of more puppies.

Kindhearted local Punnapha Rukchue has been feeding the animal every day since after seeing her wandering the streets in Nakhon Pathom, central Thailand.

Having formed a bond with the animal, Punnapha lead her to her den on June 4 where six puppies were being raised.

In the video, the Aspin dog was walking ahead a filmer, leading thick bush where it had kept the newborns.

Punnapha said she has given the mother dog food for months because it was abandoned by someone while being pregnant.

She said: "The mother dog is so nice, I'm totally in love with her.

I've been friendly with her since she was pregnant.

Then after she gave birth, I was curious where the dog was keeping her children.

''I had fed her in the morning and asked her to take me to her pups, so now I've finally found them." Punnapha said she will adopt the mother dog but does not have room for the puppies so will ask friends and neighbours if they can help.
